This artwork by Kerstin Brätsch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in December 2020. In the 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session auction, the work without title sold for USD 37,800.00 (€ 30,907.60) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kerstin Brätsch; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Quasi in rem sold at auction in June 2012 with the realized price of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 40,180.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kerstin Brätsch erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 37.800,00 (€ 30.907,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kerstin Brätsch; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Quasi in rem im Juni 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 40.180,83).
