Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Variaciones Sobre El Rombo Iv / End Of The Night by Kazuya Sakai was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,635.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kazuya Sakai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sky of Texas, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 107,100.00 (€ 109,475.62).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.635,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00.
