Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work L'Estro Armónico I by Kazuya Sakai. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,954.68). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kazuya Sakai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sky of Texas, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 107,100.00 (€ 109,475.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Estro Armónico I von Kazuya Sakai zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.954,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kazuya Sakai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Sky of Texas beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 107.100,00 (€ 109.475,62) versteigert wurde.
