Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled Three Works by Karl Wirsum was auctioned at Christies in London in September this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,640.00 (€ 16,666.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Karl Wirsum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Standing Figure in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 104,738.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled Three Works von Karl Wirsum kam im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.640,00 (€ 16.666,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Wirsum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Standing Figure im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 104.738,85).
