Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (SKATERS: red hair) by Karl Wirsum was sold in the Art Contemporain Vente du Jour auction at Christies in Paris in December 2016. The price achieved of EUR 10,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Wirsum achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Figure in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 104,738.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (SKATERS: red hair) von Karl Wirsum wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion Art Contemporain Vente du Jour bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Wirsum erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Figure im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 104.738,85).
