This artwork by Karl Wirsum achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June 2015. In the ART CONTEMPORAIN VENTE DU SOIR auction, the work A feather in a window-washer's tranzition game sold for EUR 10,625.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Karl Wirsum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Standing Figure in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 104,738.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Karl Wirsum erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ART CONTEMPORAIN VENTE DU SOIR wurde die Arbeit A feather in a window-washer's tranzition game für EUR 10.625,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Wirsum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Standing Figure im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 104.738,85).
