Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Christies in New York held the auction First Open/ NYC, which included the work Three Masks by Karl Wirsum. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,307.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Wirsum achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Figure in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 104,738.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open/ NYC durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Masks von Karl Wirsum zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.307,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Wirsum erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Figure im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 104.738,85).
