Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kai Althoff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work without title sold for USD 30,240.00 (€ 25,963.77) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kai Althoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Antonius Eremita in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 682,000.00 (€ 769,085.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kai Althoff erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 30.240,00 (€ 25.963,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kai Althoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Antonius Eremita im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 682.000,00 (€ 769.085,60).
