Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Remission by Justin Ponmany was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2008. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 37,419.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Justin Ponmany - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory), which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 109,250.00 (€ 138,095.66).

Die Arbeit Remission von Justin Ponmany kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 37.419,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Justin Ponmany mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 109.250,00 (€ 138.095,66) versteigert wurde.
