Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Justin Ponmany could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,048.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Justin Ponmany have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 138,095.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Justin Ponmany konnte im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.048,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Justin Ponmany auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 109.250,00 (€ 138.095,66).
