This work without title by Justin Ponmany was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. The result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 27,396.29) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Justin Ponmany have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 138,095.66).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Justin Ponmany kam im Mai 2009 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 27.396,29) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Justin Ponmany auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 109.250,00 (€ 138.095,66).
