Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2010 Phillips in London held the auction BRIC Theme Sale, which included the work Kundali by Justin Ponmany. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 22,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,893.10). Admittedly, works by Justin Ponmany have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 138,095.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2010 führte Phillips in London die Auktion BRIC Theme Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kundali von Justin Ponmany zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 22.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.893,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Justin Ponmany auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 109.250,00 (€ 138.095,66).
