The work Angostura by Juan Genovés was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in New York in February 2019. It achieved a price of USD 125,000.00 (€ 109,851.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Juan Genovés; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Columna I sold at auction in November last year with the realized price of USD 151,200.00 (€ 146,469.05).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 109.851,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Juan Genovés; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Columna I im November letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 146.469,05).
