In December 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session, which included this untitled work by Jose Dávila. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,880.00 (€ 39,149.63), 71% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jose Dávila; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Buildings You Must See Before You Die sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of USD 52,920.00 (€ 50,223.02).
