Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jose Dávila was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,720.00 (€ 24,559.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jose Dávila - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Buildings You Must See Before You Die, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 52,920.00 (€ 50,223.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jose Dávila wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 24.559,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jose Dávila mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Buildings You Must See Before You Die beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 52.920,00 (€ 50.223,02) versteigert wurde.
