Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jose Dávila achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June 2018. In the POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART Paris, Day Sale auction, the work Sans titre sold for EUR 21,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jose Dávila - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Buildings You Must See Before You Die, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 52,920.00 (€ 50,223.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jose Dávila erzielte im Juni 2018 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART Paris, Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Sans titre für EUR 21.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jose Dávila mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Buildings You Must See Before You Die beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 52.920,00 (€ 50.223,02) versteigert wurde.
