Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Christies held the auction A Graphic Dialogue: Prints from the Collection of Lois B. Torf, which included the work Deep Sky by James Turrell. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,036.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Turrell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orca, Blue-Red in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 302,400.00 (€ 335,789.40).
