Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work White Crater Top by James Turrell was auctioned at Phillips in London in July this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,065.00 (€ 14,076.20). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Turrell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orca, Blue-Red in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 302,400.00 (€ 335,789.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit White Crater Top von James Turrell kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 12.065,00 (€ 14.076,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Turrell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orca, Blue-Red im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 302.400,00 (€ 335.789,40).
