Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jacqueline Humphries was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 75,600.00 (€ 70,450.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacqueline Humphries have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 609,107.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jacqueline Humphries wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 70.450,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacqueline Humphries auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 687.500,00 (€ 609.107,82).
