Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Jacqueline Humphries for USD 138,600.00 (€ 124,943.66). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jacqueline Humphries have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 609,107.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jacqueline Humphries für USD 138.600,00 (€ 124.943,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacqueline Humphries auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 687.500,00 (€ 609.107,82).
