Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chimera by Jacqueline Humphries was sold in the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 233,100.00 (€ 276,366.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacqueline Humphries - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 687,500.00 (€ 609,107.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chimera von Jacqueline Humphries wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 233.100,00 (€ 276.366,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacqueline Humphries mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 687.500,00 (€ 609.107,82) versteigert wurde.
