The work Orange Bar by Jack Hamilton Bush was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. It achieved a price of USD 348,500.00 (€ 325,761.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 74%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jack Hamilton Bush; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Red Side Right (Right Side Red) sold at auction in July 2013 with the realized price of USD 603,750.00 (€ 454,562.57).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 348.500,00 (€ 325.761,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 74%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jack Hamilton Bush; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Red Side Right (Right Side Red) im Juli 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 603.750,00 (€ 454.562,57).
