This artwork by Jack Hamilton Bush achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Ex On Spring Green sold for USD 362,500.00 (€ 325,141.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jack Hamilton Bush; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Red Side Right (Right Side Red) sold at auction in July 2013 with the realized price of USD 603,750.00 (€ 454,562.57).
