Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dominant 7Th by Jack Hamilton Bush was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. The price achieved of USD 237,500.00 (€ 217,790.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jack Hamilton Bush - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Side Right (Right Side Red), which sold at auction in July 2013 for USD 603,750.00 (€ 454,562.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dominant 7Th von Jack Hamilton Bush wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 237.500,00 (€ 217.790,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jack Hamilton Bush mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Side Right (Right Side Red) beobachtet, die im Juli 2013 für USD 603.750,00 (€ 454.562,57) versteigert wurde.
