In March 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw”, which included the work #196 Drawing (Up To The La River Tracings) by Ingrid Calame. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,594.88), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ingrid Calame have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hnggnh-Hnggnh-Hnggnh in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 63,598.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” durch, in der auch die Arbeit #196 Drawing (Up To The La River Tracings) von Ingrid Calame zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.594,88) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ingrid Calame auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hnggnh-Hnggnh-Hnggnh im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 63.598,26).
