Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ibram Lassaw (1913-2003) by Ibram Lassaw was sold in the First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY auction at Christies in New York in September 2016. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,223.53) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ibram Lassaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work October Continuity in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 172,958.74).

Die Arbeit Ibram Lassaw (1913-2003) von Ibram Lassaw wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.223,53) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ibram Lassaw erzielen.
