Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Continuity by Ibram Lassaw was sold in the Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples Online auction at Bonhams in New York in February 2020. The price achieved of USD 382.50 (€ 346.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 350.00 – 450.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ibram Lassaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work October Continuity in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 172,958.74).

Die Arbeit Continuity von Ibram Lassaw wurde im Februar 2020 in der Auktion Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples Online bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 382,50 (€ 346,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 350,00 – 450,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ibram Lassaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit October Continuity im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 172.958,74).
