In the First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Spaceloom XXXI sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,017.43) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ibram Lassaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work October Continuity in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 172,958.74).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ibram Lassaw erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Spaceloom XXXI für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.017,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ibram Lassaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit October Continuity im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 172.958,74).
