This artwork by Ibram Lassaw achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2016. In the FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Continuum sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,533.80) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ibram Lassaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work October Continuity in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 172,958.74).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ibram Lassaw erzielte im März 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Continuum für USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.533,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ibram Lassaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit October Continuity im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 172.958,74).
