Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wall Sculpture #5 by Herbert Ferber was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,321.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herbert Ferber - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of D.H. Ii, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 92,500.00 (€ 74,783.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wall Sculpture #5 von Herbert Ferber kam im März 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.321,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Herbert Ferber mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of D.H. Ii beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 92.500,00 (€ 74.783,73) versteigert wurde.
