Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wall Sculpture #3 (Semaphore Series) - 1984 by Herbert Ferber was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in March last year. The price achieved of EUR 1,312.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert Ferber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of D.H. Ii in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 74,783.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wall Sculpture #3 (Semaphore Series) - 1984 von Herbert Ferber wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.312,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert Ferber erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of D.H. Ii im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 74.783,73).
