Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Herbert Ferber could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Sir James I, George's Series changed hands for USD 687.50 (€ 484.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert Ferber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of D.H. Ii in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 74,783.73).
