Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Untitled (From The Blue Mosquito Series) by Guo Wei. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,081.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Guo Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bathroom Series No. 4 in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,327,500.00 (€ 109,288.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (From The Blue Mosquito Series) von Guo Wei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.081,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bathroom Series No. 4 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.327.500,00 (€ 109.288,40).
