Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Guo Wei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,504.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bathroom Series No. 4 in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,327,500.00 (€ 109,288.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Guo Wei kam im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.504,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bathroom Series No. 4 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.327.500,00 (€ 109.288,40).
