The work Splash Series No. 2, 8 & 22 (Three Works) by Guo Wei was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,590.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bathroom Series No. 4 in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,327,500.00 (€ 109,288.40).

Die Arbeit Splash Series No. 2, 8 & 22 (Three Works) von Guo Wei wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.590,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bathroom Series No. 4 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.327.500,00 (€ 109.288,40).
