Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Two Girls) by Guo Wei was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2019. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,585.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bathroom Series No. 4 in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,327,500.00 (€ 109,288.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Two Girls) von Guo Wei kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.585,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bathroom Series No. 4 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.327.500,00 (€ 109.288,40).
