Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Moutarderie Nationale: The Gillion Crowet Collection, which included the work Indoor: Mosquitoes And Moths, No. 17 by Guo Wei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,572.95), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Guo Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bathroom Series No. 4 in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,327,500.00 (€ 109,288.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Moutarderie Nationale: The Gillion Crowet Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Indoor: Mosquitoes And Moths, No. 17 von Guo Wei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.572,95) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bathroom Series No. 4 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.327.500,00 (€ 109.288,40).
