A top price for Guo Wei
This artwork by Guo Wei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Bathroom Series No. 4 sold for HKD 1,327,500.00 (€ 109,288.40) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00. This high result makes Bathroom Series No. 4 the most expensive artwork by Guo Wei that we have observed at auctions so far.
