Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Holnis I by Graham Nickson for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,336.89). This price was achieved in the auction First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Graham Nickson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bather On Reflection in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 34,467.12).

Im September 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Holnis I von Graham Nickson für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.336,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Graham Nickson erzielen.
