Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Study for "Red Cloud" by Graham Nickson was auctioned at Phillips in New York in December 2010. The auction ended at the price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,072.73), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Graham Nickson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bather On Reflection, which sold at auction in February 2007 for USD 45,600.00 (€ 34,467.12).

Die Arbeit Study for "Red Cloud" von Graham Nickson kam im Dezember 2010 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.072,73) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Graham Nickson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bather On Reflection beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für USD 45.600,00 (€ 34.467,12) versteigert wurde.
