Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Retrato De Irene Bohus by Frida Kahlo was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 156,250.00 (€ 141,800.53). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frida Kahlo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diego y yo in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 34,883,000.00 (€ 30,905,466.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Retrato De Irene Bohus von Frida Kahlo wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 156.250,00 (€ 141.800,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frida Kahlo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diego y yo im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 34.883.000,00 (€ 30.905.466,47).
