Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2019 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Online, which included the work Chorus by Frederick Hammersley. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,215.63). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Hammersley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ego I Go, #15 1975, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 65,895.00 (€ 67,356.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chorus von Frederick Hammersley zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.215,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Hammersley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ego I Go, #15 1975 beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 65.895,00 (€ 67.356,64) versteigert wurde.
