Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Twixt, #12 1977 by Frederick Hammersley was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 14,025.00 (€ 14,336.09) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Hammersley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ego I Go, #15 1975 in September last year with an auction result of USD 65,895.00 (€ 67,356.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Twixt, #12 1977 von Frederick Hammersley wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 14.025,00 (€ 14.336,09) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Hammersley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ego I Go, #15 1975 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 65.895,00 (€ 67.356,64).
