Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,803.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Hammersley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ego I Go, #15 1975, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 65,895.00 (€ 67,356.64).
