Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Less On Lesson by Frederick Hammersley was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2021. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,803.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Hammersley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ego I Go, #15 1975, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 65,895.00 (€ 67,356.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Less On Lesson von Frederick Hammersley kam im Mai 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.803,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Hammersley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ego I Go, #15 1975 beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 65.895,00 (€ 67.356,64) versteigert wurde.
