Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sloth by Francis Upritchard was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,993.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Upritchard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Misanthrope, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,952.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sloth von Francis Upritchard wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.993,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Francis Upritchard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Misanthrope beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.952,56) versteigert wurde.
