A top price for Dennis Hopper - as previously expected
The work Andy Warhol (With Flower), 1963/2006 by Dennis Hopper was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 206,500.00 (€ 158,724.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Andy Warhol (With Flower), 1963/2006 is the most expensive artwork by Dennis Hopper that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Andy Warhol (With Flower), 1963/2006 von Dennis Hopper wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 158.724,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
