Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dennis Hopper could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Gift of Photographs auction, the work Morocco (Terracotta Peel) changed hands for USD 765.00 (€ 675.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dennis Hopper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy Warhol (With Flower), 1963/2006 in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 158,724.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dennis Hopper konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Gift of Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Morocco (Terracotta Peel) für USD 765,00 (€ 675,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dennis Hopper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Andy Warhol (With Flower), 1963/2006 im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 158.724,06).
