Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Paul Newman by Dennis Hopper. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,080.00 (€ 4,601.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dennis Hopper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy Warhol (With Flower), 1963/2006 in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 158,724.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paul Newman von Dennis Hopper zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.080,00 (€ 4.601,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dennis Hopper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Andy Warhol (With Flower), 1963/2006 im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 158.724,06).
