Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kyoto (Kiyomizu Temple Pond) by Dennis Hopper was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,211.25 (€ 1,070.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dennis Hopper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy Warhol (With Flower), 1963/2006 in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 158,724.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kyoto (Kiyomizu Temple Pond) von Dennis Hopper kam im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.211,25 (€ 1.070,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dennis Hopper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Andy Warhol (With Flower), 1963/2006 im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 158.724,06).
