This artwork by Deborah Kass achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May last year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Silver Deb sold for USD 94,500.00 (€ 88,062.62) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. This high result makes Silver Deb the most expensive artwork by Deborah Kass that we have observed at auctions so far.
